Having a henna artist at your party or special event is a fun way to make an impression! You can begin by choosing one of the following booking methods:
*A deposit may be requested, depending upon the nature of the party. This may be done via PayPal or by credit card.
LARGE GROUPS/CORPORATE PARTIES
Mountain Mehndi artists can produce beautiful henna quickly, and one artist can accommodate an average of 20 to 40 small designs per hour. For large groups, it may be recommended that a host hire multiple artists. The number of artists supplied will be based on the number of guests expected and the time allotment.
Bridal henna can range from simple and elegant to simply extravagant. Prices reflect the density and complexity of the chosen patterns.
The prices listed are meant to be guides only. Final price may vary depending upon the specific wishes of the bride and an accurate quote will be given after a consultation.
For light-density patterns, prices begin at $80 for simple designs on both palms and tops of hands and tops of feet.
For medium-to-heavy density work, I charge a flat rate of $250 to $450+. The complexity of dense henna patterns resemble lace gloves and stockings... very auspicious for this important occasion!
Sangeet / Night of Henna / Bridal Shower Guests may be hennaed for $80 per hour. For groups of 15 or more, it is recommended that you secure multiple artists. Small groups may be hennaed on a non-hourly, "by design" rate ($5 to $25 per guest).
If you are managing an event and are interested in having a henna artist participate, please contact us at Malynda@MountainMehndi.com!

$5 every 10 miles (one way) for locations outside of Roy, UT. For long-distance travel (50 miles or more), I charge 1/2 the hourly artist rate and lodging, if required.
"Black Henna" WARNING!
There is only one kind of henna, and when used for body art appears in a greenish paste and its stain on skin ranges in color from orange to reddish brown. If you come across anything labeled henna that stains black or dark red/brown immediately or claims the stain will last 3 weeks or more with no aftercare instruction, it may contain a harmful chemical called para-phenylenediamine, or PPD. PPD is found in hair dye and is ILLEGAL to use on skin and can cause painful rashes, disfiguring scars, increased allergic reactions to safer black dyes (such as used to dye your hair and clothes), to more serious conditions such as heart failure and life-long illness.
Most encounter "black henna" while on vacation in Mexico, Las Vegas, California, and other beach locations. Adding harmful chemicals to henna is common practice in Africa, the Mediterranean, India and the Middle East. If you have had "black henna" applied in the past, DO NOT have it done again. "Black henna" is a sensitizer, which means the more you are exposed to it, the more likely you are to have a severe allergic reaction to it.
So please be warned. If it is not a greenish paste that stains reddish brown over time, then IT IS NOT HENNA!
For more information on the effects of PPD and how to tell good henna from bad, please read THIS.
