I have been practicing henna as a body art for the past 20 years. I use only the highest quality natural henna powder, mixing my own paste using sugar, lemon juice, and tea tree, lavender, and geranium essential oils. Henna has been my sole profession since 2004.
A native of eastern Idaho, I have hennaed all across the Western United States; for brides of many cultural persuasions, at music festivals, community events, health and wellness conventions, renaissance fairs and medieval reenactment society events. I've watched henna go from rare oddity to fashion-forward and it's been an honor to have been a part of its popularity rise here in the mountain states.
I settled in the Salt Lake City, Utah area in 2008 and much to my delight found not only a concentration of many cultures where henna is a tradition, but also a local populace eager for a bit of the exotic. Henna body art is such a wonderful medium to educate about culture and history while simultaneously making people feel great about the skin they're in.
